Dunfermline East Church is a thriving and growing parish church serving hundreds of families and individuals through a wide variety of services and programmes. We serve as a key point of contact for a large number of people and organisations and our buildings are used by a variety of community groups.
The purpose of the role is to supervise and facilitate the day-to-day administrative operations of the church in close co-operation with the Minister, Kirk Session, Café Manager and wider staff team.
As a place of Christian worship, our faith is foundational to everything we do. The post-holder will be expected to be a key face and voice of the church in the wider community, better enabling us to serve our parish. Working in a busy and lively environment where flexibility, good interpersonal and verbal communication skills are vital, together with a high attention to detail and the operation of good office practice. Duties include managing lettings and its associated administration, handling general enquiries, social media posting, word processing and spreadsheet production, general office work and support for the staff team. The majority of our administration is online so knowledge and experience of diary management, Microsoft Office, WordPress, and Facebook are essential.
